    Media Release:
    The Louisiana Belly Dance Association (LABDA) has permission to use all registered persons likeness (photograph, video and/or audio) to promote LABDA. The media may be used in print publications, presentations, websites, and social media. You also understand that no royalty, fee or other compensation shall become payable for such use.

    Refunds and transfer tickets?
    No refunds. If a ticket needs to be transferred to a different participant, please email communications@labda.org with the subject line Transfer Ticket.

    Do I need to print a ticket?
    When you register, a profile will be created for you to update your information as needed. This will allow LABDA to have a list of participants for each event without you needing to print a ticket. Please bring an ID just in case. This profile can become a LABDA member if you go to the membership page or your profile page and pay for a 6 month or 1 year membership.

Join LABDA for a weekend of Folkloric Fusions in the Forest at Uskichitto Retreat Center, 590 Retreat Rd, Leblanc LA. Uskichitto (pronounced "whiskey-chitto") Retreat Center is located six miles west of Kinder in LeBlanc, LA. The facility borders the Whiskey Chitto Creek. Lady Katherine will lead Saturday morning yoga. Our days will be filled with dance classes led by this indomitable Hamer Sisters, Maria Hamer & Christine Andrews. There will be 5 classes of sharing their luscious and lovely belly dance stylings. Each class will be 1.75 hours long scheduled for 1 Friday, 3 Saturday, and 1 Sunday. These classes will focus on multiple music and dance styles, bringing it all together for you with a focus on foot work, upper body and hip accents. We will drill with timing and layers. We will go over some folkloric styles of BellyDance, but also other cultural folk dance styles and layer them over your BellyDance moves.

Our nights will be filled with haflas, cocktails, and campfires underneath the full moon. Your price includes classes with the Hamer Sisters, meals (vegan and gluten free options available by request), temperature-controlled cabins, a swimming pool, and fire pit. A list of what you will need to pack will be sent to all registered participants. Must be 21 or older to attend.
